چکیده
Abstract We report the case of a 41-year-old renal transplant recipient who has been attending dermatology for skin surveillance following cadaveric transplant. His immunosuppressive treatment consists tacrolimus, mycophenolate mofetil and prednisolone 5 mg once daily. primary dermatological complaint was that large wart on plantar aspect his right foot. Given location this lesion, there significant associated pain, which also resulted in functional impediment, impacting ability to exercise or work. On examination, he had large, hyperkeratotic, papillomatous nodule measuring 3.5 × 3 cm foot, clinically keeping with verruca vulgaris. This recalcitrant extensive treatment, including topical salicylic acid, 5-fluorouracil, cantharidin numerous courses cryotherapy paring over previous 6 years. Following administration xylocaine 1% adrenaline as local anaesthetic, we performed three incisional 4-mm punch biopsies through centre depth dermis. ensured visualization haemorrhage at base each incision. The biopsy cores were left situ wound dressed petroleum jelly, Kaltostat® Opsite. At 6-week follow-up review, vulgaris completely resolved. No postprocedural complications noted by patient. Further scheduled months later, time no recurrence occurred. Verruca is benign proliferation epidermal cells driven human papillomavirus (HPV) infection, commonly acquired childhood. For many patients, will spontaneously regress. However, it can represent therapeutic challenge when persistent, multiple modalities, particularly immunosuppressed patients. To our knowledge, first documented resolution giant an immunocompromised patient using such approach. Renal patients unique cohort relation vulgaris, whereby impaired cell-mediated immunity increase their susceptibility HPV, thereby reducing effective options meaning definitive clearance may never be achieved. Our highlights accessible cost-effective approach where alternative would necessitate hospital visits.

PEACILOMYCES INFECTION IN AN IMMUNOCOMPROMISED PATIENT
Paecilomyces sp, is a saprophytic fungus which has rarely been associated with human disease. We report the first case of invasive subcutaneous infection caused by this fungus in a 78-year-old female from Damghan, Iran, with diabetes and chronic renal failure. A biopsy provided an initial diagnosis of the mold in tissue. Multiple positive fungal cultures which were obtained from the biopsie...

Papilloma virus infections of the oral cavity have been long recognized with various clinical expressions characterized as verruca vulgaris, Heck's disease, multiple papilloma and condyloma acuminata. In this paper, we are highlighting a case of verruca vulgaris involving the oral cavity with extensive skin lesions in a nonimmunocompromised 9-year-old boy. Different treatment modalities are dis...
متن کاملOral Verruca Vulgaris- A Rare Presentation

OBJECTIVE In lethal primary metastatic prostate cancer, biopsy material is often the only accessible cancer tissue. Lack of tissue quantity limited the use of biopsy cores for analyzing higher numbers of molecular markers and standard histopathologic evaluation for clinical diagnosis simultaneously. Recent advances in single cell analytics have paved the way to characterize a tumor in more dept...
متن کاملPunch biopsy of synovial membrane.
An instrument has been devised which makes biopsy of the synovial membrane a relatively easy procedure. With this instrument the usual operative incision is unnecessary and the disability incident to operation is avoided. It has been used on 130 occasions to remove specimens from 135 joints of 108 patients, ranging in age from 3 to 71 years. Single procedures were performed on 93 patients, on t...
